Sipho Moloi is a self published author from Ottawa, Ontario. He has won an honourable mention for his short story Front for the Ottawa Public Library’s Awesome Authors contest in 2015. Sipho has been writing since his childhood, and the genres he usually writes in are sci-fi and military. Many of his inspirations have come from video games, but also movies and several books. He always follows this mandate when writing: is it entertaining? The types of stories that he writes are ones that involve action, engaging plots, and compelling characters. The Raid of Hotel Laurier

A deadly shootout erupts between two notorious gangs in downtown Toronto. This bloodbath doesn’t occur in some dark alleyway, but in one of the city’s most luxurious hotels: Hotel Laurier. An Emergency Task Force (ETF) team is sent in to respond to this brazen violence. This team is led by Staff Sergeant Benjamin Greene, a well-respected police officer who has served for many years. When they head into the fray, they soon realize how dire the situation is. Some of the bandits have been “altered” and are attacking bandits and officers alike. A mysterious figure that’s not of this world bears responsibility for these “souped-bandits.” The conspiracy deepens once CSIS intervenes and takes charge of the police response. As bodies stack up throughout the night, will Greene be able to lead his team out of this hellscape or will they succumb to these nightmares of terror?

Shadow Company almost started a deadly war between Western allies, but they were stopped by a ragtag group of Canadian soldiers and two former fugitives that were framed for murder. With the help of a Russian alcoholic with connections, they exposed agents within the American and Canadian militaries. Shadow Company was presumed to be defeated, but how does one know when a shadow organization is defeated?
After five years of hunting down the remnants of Shadow Company, the world has moved on. The Middle East has become a heated battlefield; An Iraqi terror group ramps up attacks against American and Iraqi forces, the Afghan terror groups continue to wreak havoc, and the terror group behind the devastating 2001 attacks makes a comeback. What was once viewed as a necessity, the Armored Piercing task force has become obsolete.
Sipho Morgess is baffled by the focus on “relevant” threats. He believes Shadow Company is still active and that the mastermind behind Goodman Shepherd and Conrad Jones is still in play. The world hunts Makarov Guryev, the former Russian president who ran a failed coup in Ukraine. Ousted by State Duma and a warrant issued for his arrest, he goes off the grid. Two years later, he re-emerges as the leader of the Reapers, a dangerous terrorist group. With vengeance on his mind and his hatred for the US still burning hot, he is the most dangerous man on Earth.
The United States and United Kingdom join forces to create a taskforce to hunt down Guryev: Grey Wolves. When the Reapers emerged, the Grey Wolves were the first response. They were inching closer to locating Guryev, until one day they were all slaughtered. Their deaths were laid on the feet of two Wolves: Soap Kent and Gerald Price. These two individuals disappear soon after and become two of the most wanted fugitives in the world.
To make matters worse, a Canadian base in Afghanistan is attacked by unknown forces, unrelated to Guryev. Casualties are high, but the Canadians survive the attack. Captain Sipho Morgess wishes to hunt down this mysterious group but is promptly ordered to stand down. Disobeying his superiors, he leads a group of soldiers to pursue their attackers. On a quest for revenge, they quickly realize they are in over their heads. This new enemy is unlike any they fought before. Now being branded fugitives, will they defeat this secret enemy or will this suicide mission be their last?
