I'm now 451 pages into the second draft, which is 22 pages since the last update. I think the last time I hit 20 pages was when I was writing the Brazil segment. It's nice to finally hit that number again. And I made a lot of progress story-wise. The betrayal finally happened and a legacy character from AP1 was killed off. I'm currently on the mission where the team deals with the traitor. After another chapter with a different character, I will finally begin the Hamburg segment. In the original draft, Hamburg and Berlin took up most of the book. It will likely be the same since it takes up a large portion of the outline. Speaking of, I moved up another page on it and I'm now on page 24. I'm hoping to do another 20 pages this week, so we'll see.
Armored Piercing Operations
I'm now 429 pages into the second draft, which is 17 pages since the last update. I'm also on page 23 of the outline. I seem to be always moving one page on the outline with each update ever since I returned to writing AP3 after the short break. I think I will move another page this coming week. I did miss a few days last week, so I could've hit 20 pages, but this is good progress nonetheless. I'm currently on the mission where the betrayal will happen. Very soon, I will reach Hamburg, where the real fun will begin.
I'm now 412 pages into the second draft, which is 11 pages since the last update. I'm also on page 22 of the outline. I have been writing less per week since I resumed writing AP3, but I managed to complete multiple missions. I'm on the last mission for the England segment and then it will be back-to-back Germany missions. The next one will have the betrayal, which will shake things up story-wise.
I'm also beginning to feel less bad if I don't write as many pages per week. I realized that always making progress is more important than how much progress I make. Even though I want to get more things done faster, sometimes I can't do that. My commitment to this series is something I should be proud of and never take for granted. I'm also glad to have finally reached 400 pages. I was hoping to do so in August, but better late than never. I will likely make a second update on my blog. I hope to hit 500 pages next month, but I will need to keep up the pace. Sometimes, I get fatigue writing AP3 because I've been working on this series most of the time for these last several years. I was working on another book before posting the last update and I wrote 6 pages in a few hours, which is a lot in a very short time. Some days, if I write 6 pages for AP3, it's over the course of the day. This other book has nothing to do with AP, so it felt more invigorating somehow to work on it.
