November 2021 is a very important month in the Armored Piercing series (and is about to come to a close today). The last chapter of Armored Piercing 2 took place on November 8, 2021, and Armored Piercing 3 will take place immediately after. So what caused Petrenko’s jet to crash? Well, the Russian army of course!
No, Russian president Michelle Velovich didn’t decide to wage war on Europe (yes, the whole continent) out of the blue. In fact, she didn’t authorize the attacks. Merlov Krachenko, the State Duma deputy Petrenko suspected to be a part of the Secret Order, somehow managed to recruit large segments of the Russian army and waged the war on Europe. How and why? That’s unknown. What is known from Armored Piercing 2 is that a Shadow Company account, accessed by Merlov, funded the Free State of Iraq, Warhawk, and the Iron Clad Afghan terror group. How do these actions indicate the coming war in Armored Piercing 3? Was this what Macoy meant when he said they’d have “other matters” to attend to after killing Tobias Stones?
Both previous world wars were devastating and had a long impact on the world. The new world war will be even more destructive. To those not paying attention, the war will seem to have come out of leftfield. To those who were, the writing was on the wall. At the end of Armored Piercing 2, Sipho and crew were on their way to shut down one of Merlov’s compounds in Ukraine. They were aware of Merlov planning something big but didn’t know the extent. November 2021 will be the most destructive month in years, even more so than Red October in 2001.
Armored Piercing 3 isn’t close to being finished. I finished the original draft in 2014 (which was 1200 pages), but I need to do extensive redoes of certain sections and I haven’t started working on a polished draft for publishing. Also, Armored Piercing 2 just came out a few months ago. However, I hope this blog post gave you some hints of what’s coming next for this series. Additionally, it’s an interesting coincidence that both Armored Piercing 2 and 3 take place in 2021, which was less than a decade away at the time I finished writing their original drafts.
